Local attractions: Cream teas

You cannot leave Somerset without having a delicious Cream tea, truly an English institution! Here are some well tried and tested favourite places to find one:

  • Periwinkle Cottage, Selworthy (a National Trust Village)
A thatched cottage on a village green, beautiful views, with tables inside and out.
  • Kilve
Set in the ruins of the old Chantry, 150 yards from the beach, ideal for walkers. Outside tables only.
  • Stable tearooms, Triscombe
Magnificent views, ample parking, lots of tables inside and out. Bright conservatory, cosy panelled room
  • Micawbers, Minehead.
Upstairs, town centre location with views over the High Street. Only locals and our guests find this one! Light meals as well as teas, all home cooked fare.
